Properties of mortars containing crumb rubber and glass powder

This study presents an alternative for the combined revalorization of two wastes with high volumes generation, such as end-of-life tyres and glass. The experimental grid considered analysis joint use crumb rubber glass powder in mortars. Crumb is analysed a sand replacement at 10% 15% percentages, while is'. cement, considering effect maximum size particles (38 μm 45 μm). results obtained show decrease mechanical strength mortars, mainly associated rubber, which increases increase percentage used. However, synergistic was observed, allowed improvement not only thermal properties series but also those water absorption, porosity capillarity.
